RFXtrx433e or other alrernatives to telstick duo

Post by dostojevski »

As the telstick duo is phased out and hard to come by now, what other options are there for 433mhz transcievers that "just works" with NetHomeServer? Does the RFXtrx433e work? Other recomendations in the Scandinavian market?

I have limited experience and a handfull of nexa dimmers and switches...

Well, up until now the Tellstick Duo has been the simplest way to integrate with 433MHz devices from OpenNetHome. The other option available is to build some hardware on your own connected to USB sound cards (as described on the site). The RFXtrx433e is currently not supported, since I have thought it is a bit expensive.

I am however working on a Arduino-sketch that will make it very simple (and cheep) to build your own transmitter/receiver with ready made parts. I am not sure how comfortable people in general are with putting together Arduino stuff, I would really appreciate some feedback on that...

Hi Stefan,

Any updates?

I’m in a process to find a backup HW for Tellstick duo. What options do I have today?
