Linking with Alexa?

Post by mavbavbutav »

Does anyone have any success linking the items configured with NetHomeServer with Alexa in some way?

I've got a Raspberry Pi with a Rollertrol blinds motor connected via JeeLink 433 RF transmitter. I've connected it to the point where I can control it by logging in to the web interface and clicking up/down to bring up/down the blinds but I'd like to connect it to Alexa so it can be voice controlled. Anyone have any advice? Thanks!

Alexa is not yet available in Sweden, so I have not been able to try it. The way I understand it, you connect Alexa skills to lambda-functions in AWS, and a lambda function can call the REST-interface exposed by OpenNetHome. You will have to open your local firewall to expose the REST-interface though.
