They operate on 2.4Ghz Wifi, so a Tellstick should not be necessary
They also has a built in consumtion metering

Re: Sonoff - WiFi Wireless Smart Switch For MQTT
Hi
Great work on the mqtt functionality.
It works great, and the MQTTLamp is updated if it receives on or off messages from other sources in the same topic.
I think this can be the new workhorse for mqtt driven DIY projects

Re: Sonoff - WiFi Wireless Smart Switch For MQTT
Hi I have been testing MQTTLamp a bit more. It works excellent for one way communication. It sends out mitt messages when turning on and off. The one thing I miss is that it will update it's status if on- and off-messages are sent from other sources. I have made a mitt receiver for my garage door us...

Hi
I have tested the MQTT lamp, and it works fine sending out messages.
But in addition to sending out messages, it needs to subscribe to the same topic. If not it will not update it's status when the messages come from other sources.
Same functionality as Nexa which listen for events

Upgrade from 3.0 to Nightly Build
Hi
I have the 3.0 installed on rpi.
What is the easiest way to upgrade it to nightly build?
Can I just download the nightly build and run the install script, or will that overwrite my configuration?

Re: Sonoff - WiFi Wireless Smart Switch For MQTT
I think your suggestion about MQTTMessage and MQTTTopicController sounds reasonable as it follows the same pattern as the SMPP logic
And yes, i think they should share the topic.

Thank you for replying
I think the best solution would be a MqttButton.
Preferably with more than 2 available actions to make it more universal.
If it also can be controlled by external command such as Jabber it would be awesome
Best regards

Re: Advice needed - Need to control external device
Thank you
I was looking at the Custom Lamp, but i didn't find a way to specify the command. Now I see that it is possible to set it after saving
This is valuable information

Re: Message - How to use it?
Thank you for replying
I basically needs to trigger it from a lamp item, but also plan to be able to trigger with jabber message in the future.
So if i set up a MQTTValueLogger with the lamp it will send out messages?
Sounds great, and i will try it
Thank you for the help
